A WEEKEND IN WADHURST
This was a Photographic and Writing project for and by the community.
IWadhurst Culture ran this photoraphic project which invited people in the village to take photographs of the Jubilee Weekend. These were bound these photographs together into an exhibition.
The idea returned as A Weekend to Remember in Wadhurst.
WADHURST'S WONDERFUL VIEWS
This was a community wide photo and mapping project to create a record of our wonderful views across the parish.
We have created:
An interactive map showing the locations of the views - the map also shows all rural paths in the parish. Map is Here
A website which features the above and explains the project and thanks the contributors. Website is Here
We received over 430 photos from which we selected some 200 for the albums and map.
A WEEKEND TO REMEMBER IN WADHURST
A Photographic and Writing project for the whole community.
In 2012, Wadhurst Culture ran a photographic project called A Weekend in Wadhurst, which invited people in the village to take photographs of the Jubilee Weekend, and then bound these photographs together into an exhibition. The idea returned as A Weekend to Remember in Wadhurst.
THE LOOK OF LOCKDOWN
April - June 2020
We asked the community to send in photos to create a pictoral record of what we got up to during Lockdown due to the Coronavirus.
Over 60 photos were received and represented a range of images from funny to beautiful to moving. There were many excellent evocative photos reflecting our experiences of the first lockdown. ‘’Missing Friends’’ by Charlotte McGovern was unanimously chosen as the "winning" photograph. Here is an interview with Charlie about the photograph and more generally about her interest in photography.
These have been made into an album which can be seen by clicking on the button below.
